これ，子育てで絶対やっちゃいけない事の一つです。

どんなものであっても，子供の努力したことを，
親の価値観で否定してはいけません。

スタンフォード大学の卒業式でスティーブ・ジョブズのスピーチの，
「点をつなぐ」というエピソードを知っていますか？
大学にいってカリグラフィーの授業をとることは，
普通に考えると無駄な勉強です。けれどそれが役に立つこともあるのです。

一見無駄な勉強でも，それを何十個もやれば，
そのどれかが人生を変えることがあるのです。
何が役に立つか。そんなのは事前にはわかりません。
親にも子供にも。

何であれ，勉強を「役に立ちそうもないから」と言って，やめてしまう。
それはとても大きな損失です。"
